Not a Great Week

My predictions were right!!! Pepsico went up by like 6%(which I PREDICTED) and Delta went up(not too much though). After a while I finally locked in and delivered a win which feels pretty good. If only the market was as good as my predictions. If you look at last week overall you would see that the indexes ended in green. That does not tell the full story though. The week was going pretty well. AI, as usual, fueled the market and investors continued to be happy with the performance in the microchip sectors. This has been a recurring theme, with AI carrying the market to gains week after week for a while now. Me personally, I do not think this will end well. This bubble of AI doing well week after week will burst and when it does, the market might tank severely. The Fed also met, which meant the market was happy because they took it as a sign that rate cuts might be coming. The government shutdown(which is STILL GOING ON) didn’t hurt the market even though key economic data wasn’t released. The market is also super optimistic that the shutdown may end soon. This is all from Monday to Thursday. After that, though, the market absolutely tumbled. President Trump announced a 100% tariff on China on Friday. China basically manufactures everything. The computer or phone you are looking at this on was probably made in China. A hundred percent tariff means that prices of almost everything will basically double. That is obviosuly not good, and the market understood that and plummeted. A week’s worth of gains was almost fully erased on Friday. I’m publishing this late but Dow has gained almost 600 points so the market is rebounding. Now, let’s get to the predictions section.

Riser

JpMorgan- JPMorgan is reporting it’s third quarter earnings. During such a turbulent and well, not great, economy, banks like JPMorgan are very resilient. A good earnings report could not only boost JpMorgan, but the overall financial sector.

Faller

Tesla- Tesla has done well for so long that expectations for it are really high. Its very high price doesn’t help either and it’s move to cut prices for some of its’ models show a lack of demand and this could won’t look good for investors when it comes to profit margins. I am not really sure about this one but it has potential to fall.
